Role Summary
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining databases to support data storage, processing, and analytics functions. The position requires expertise in managing database systems, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring the stability and security of cloud infrastructure. It offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance data management strategies and organizational data quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and administer database systems in a collaborative environment.
  • Develop and maintain Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to facilitate data integration.
  • Monitor and maintain database and cloud infrastructure for optimal performance.
  • Oversee projects from planning through execution to meet organizational requirements.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of existing database systems and applications.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians on technical issues.
  • Research and recommend new storage solutions, applications, and systems to enhance data capabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to leverage best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and data governance standards.
  • Perform routine training on compliance requirements and assist with other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 1-2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Server products.
  • Proficiency with database management, scripting, and PowerShell.
  • Well-organized with excellent technical documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct research on networking issues and technical products.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages and cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Preferred: Experience with Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server 2017.
  • Certifications: Azure Certification, Microsoft Certification preferred.
  • Educational background comparable to a four-year college degree with relevant experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $55,000.00 – $68,000.00 Annually 
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
