Role Summary
A Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise endpoint management solutions, focusing on MECM environments. This role involves optimizing content distribution, developing automation, and ensuring compliance with security standards across large-scale systems. The position requires advanced technical expertise and leadership to support system health, security, and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and sustain MECM environments tailored for large enterprise endpoint management.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Adaptiva OneSite to enhance content distribution and endpoint performance.
- Develop, test, and deploy software packages, updates, and patches using MECM and Adaptiva tools.
- Create and maintain task sequences for automated OS deployments and upgrades.
- Ensure endpoints adhere to organizational security policies and standards.
- Troubleshoot complex MECM and Adaptiva issues, including client health and content delivery challenges.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to streamline endpoint management workflows.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
- Generate and analyze reports on system compliance, software deployment status, and system health metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise.
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
- At least 5 years of experience supporting or leading MECM and Adaptiva projects in large enterprise environments.
- Proven experience architecting and managing MECM environments at scale.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating Adaptiva with MECM for content distribution.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server platforms (2012–2025), Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Experienced in Windows imaging, task sequences, and driver management.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation tasks.
- Skilled in producing comprehensive and clear system and process documentation.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator certifications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Understanding of load balancing, network infrastructure, and content distribution networks.
- Effective communication skills for creating technical reports and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Publishing Pay Range: $63.00 – $66.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
