Role Summary

The Delivery Cloud Architect leads the design, implementation, and delivery of cloud architecture solutions supporting large-scale modernization initiatives. This role architects and deploys AWS cloud environments with a focus on security, scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational readiness. The position provides technical leadership throughout project execution and supports the integration and modernization of legacy systems within cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of cloud architecture solutions, including the deployment and validation of AWS cloud environments.
  • Develop cloud architecture specifications to support proof-of-concept activities, system integration, and technical validation.
  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS architectural best practices and frameworks.
  • Manage the provisioning, configuration, and operational readiness of cloud environments to support security, scalability, resiliency, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders to support the integration and modernization of legacy systems within cloud-based solutions.
  • Lead technical delivery activities, including planning, risk identification, dependency management, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance throughout project execution.
  • Develop architectural diagrams, design documentation, and implementation plans aligned with established enterprise standards.
  • Support compliance and security activities by developing required technical documentation, control plans, and authorization-related materials.
  • Evaluate cloud services, automation opportunities, and modernization strategies to improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering solutions on AWS, including experience applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience designing, optimizing, and migrating applications or platforms to AWS, including integration with legacy systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience supporting or leading large-scale cloud modernization initiatives within regulated or complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, networking, encryption, resiliency, and performance optimization within AWS environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust determination.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Relevant education, technical training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $38.00 – $42.00 Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
