Role Summary
The Commercial AI & Agentic Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering AI and Generative AI (GenAI) transformation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role leads the design, implementation, and scaling of agentic AI solutions, including multi-agent ecosystems, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous workflows. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery to ensure AI initiatives are scalable, secure, technically sound, and aligned with measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute GenAI and agentic AI strategies aligned with business priorities and transformation objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across commercial, customer engagement, CRM, personalization, and omnichannel capabilities.
- Lead complex AI transformation initiatives, managing scope, timelines, budgets, vendors, governance, priorities, and value realization.
- Design and guide the implementation of agentic AI solutions, including multi-agent systems, agent-to-agent orchestration, autonomous workflows, and related AI capabilities.
- Develop target solution architectures integrating AI capabilities with CRM, enterprise data platforms, applications, and external ecosystems.
- Ensure solutions align with established enterprise architecture, security, data governance, performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with business, technology, medical, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to identify requirements and co-develop AI-enabled solutions.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business and technology leaders regarding GenAI capabilities, opportunities, architecture, and implementation considerations.
- Evaluate technical designs, architectures, implementation approaches, and delivery quality provided by technology vendors and partners.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, AI partners, and systems integrators to support successful solution delivery.
- Promote reuse of AI components, agents, tools, workflows, and patterns to support scalable development and implementation.
- Build organizational capabilities and knowledge related to agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, GenAI platforms, and emerging AI technologies.
- Support organizational adoption of AI-enabled ways of working while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
- Monitor emerging GenAI and agentic AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve business capabilities and customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Digital Technology, IT, solution architecture, AI, or related technology leadership roles within complex enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI and GenAI initiatives, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of Generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), copilots, agentic AI, and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of agentic architectures, including multi-agent systems, autonomous workflows, agent-to-agent interactions, and orchestration patterns.
- Experience designing enterprise solutions and integrations across applications, CRM platforms, data platforms, and related technology ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business priorities and requirements into technology strategies, roadmaps, architectures, and scalable solutions.
- Strong program and project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and deliverables.
- Experience evaluating and challenging vendor-provided technical designs, architectures, and implementation approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while remaining actively involved in technical execution and delivery.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or a similarly regulated industry is required.
- Experience with commercial pharmaceutical capabilities, including CRM, omnichannel engagement, healthcare professional engagement, personalization, or related use cases, is preferred.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
