Role Summary

This position provides technical and geospatial systems support for enterprise GIS operations within a secure environment. The role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting geospatial applications, managing enterprise geospatial data, and supporting system availability and operational continuity. This position collaborates with technical and business stakeholders to support reliable and effective GIS capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise GIS operations using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related applications.
  • Maintain and administer GIS systems and software, including installations, upgrades, configurations, and ongoing support.
  • Manage and validate enterprise geospatial data to support accuracy, integrity, and availability.
  • Perform quality assurance and metadata management for geospatial datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving GIS applications, databases, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and database administrators on system maintenance and security activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to GIS users.
  • Support contingency planning, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations activities.
  • Prepare technical briefings and reports for leadership regarding system status and project progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Geography, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting GIS, GeoBase, or enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience managing geospatial databases and enterprise GIS data.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and applicable cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required. (Active Secret security clearance required).

Publishing Pay Range: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
