Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Intermediate to join our client's dynamic and forward-thinking team. This role is crucial for sustaining the SAP Basis environment, including a significant SAP S/4 Upgrade and RISE Migration project. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience in Basis/HANA Administration and demonstrate core strength in all aspects of system & database administration. This position offers the opportunity to work within the first and only transnational rail network in North America, supporting economic growth across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. The role is active, with responsibilities spanning across various SAP NetWeaver Suite of products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SAP ECC, S/4, BOBJ, CC (convergent charging), CM (convergent mediation), PO, GRC, Portal, Solution Manager, and HANA Upgrade, Installation, and daily administration tasks.
- Support High Availability/Disaster Recovery Solutions for SAP Applications, ensuring system robustness and reliability.
- Handle Installation, Upgrades, and Maintenance of SAP NetWeaver Suite of products efficiently and effectively.
- Create, maintain, and update documentation related to infrastructure, architectural diagrams, processes, and procedures as required.
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking skills to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedules, including weekends, to ensure continuous system availability and support.
- Work collaboratively with the IT team and stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in SAP Basis support, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Basis/HANA Administration.
- Experience with SAP ECC, S/4, BOBJ, CC, CM, PO, GRC, Portal, Solution Manager, and HANA Upgrade, Installation, and administration.
- Ability to support High Availability/Disaster Recovery Solutions for SAP Applications.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to create and maintain infrastructure and architectural diagrams, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.
- Willingness to work in rotating on-call schedules, including weekends.
- The S4 upgrade experience will be considered an added advantage.
