Systems Administrator
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team within a prominent technology department. This role involves working closely with the Systems Administration department to support, design, and deliver Microsoft solutions that meet both business objectives and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow solutions, particularly focusing on Microsoft 365 technologies. This is a contract position with potential consideration for a more permanent role within the state system.
Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and manage SCCM and Intune platforms for client solutions, ensuring efficient system configuration and deployment.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for Microsoft products, focusing on WSUS, Group Policy, Windows OS, and Windows Servicing at an enterprise scale.
- Collaborate with Microsoft 365 Product owners to support daily operations and resolve issues related to various Microsoft 365 solutions including E-mail, E-Discovery, and Content Search.
- Offer technical support for incidents escalated from the helpdesk, resolving system and identity issues stemming from environmental changes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a Microsoft 365 roadmap, integrating new platform innovations as they become available.
- Manage migrations of content from diverse sources to the Microsoft 365 environment in accordance with design specifications.
- Implement configuration and policy settings within Microsoft portals and services, adhering to departmental guidelines and standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in supporting Microsoft 365 products in multiple system environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and configuration.
- Proficient in building and implementing solutions using SCCM and Intune.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft products, particularly relating to enterprise-level issues.
- Hands-on experience with F5 and VxRail, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Hybrid Office 365 deployments and ADSync using ADConnect solutions is preferred.
- Ability to write and manage PowerShell scripts for Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments.
- Understanding of DNS, Email Gateway, and a broad technical acumen in various platforms is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and attention to detail with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field from an Accredited 4 Year College or University, or equivalent experience.
