Business Analyst – 915
Oue client is currently seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join a dedicated team within the public health sector. This position is integral to enhancing their current newborn screening follow-up and hearing system. The ideal candidate will be tasked with understanding and documenting the existing system, identifying gaps, and aiding in the development of a tailored in-house solution. This role is based in the Information Technology bureau and offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to public health management systems. The contract will involve direct collaboration with program staff and other stakeholders to ensure that the system’s development aligns with user needs and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis to understand the current newborn screening follow-up and hearing system.
- Identify and document system deficiencies and propose enhancements.
- Facilitate effective communication between public health managers, laboratory staff, and IT developers.
- Develop and maintain detailed workflow charts and system diagrams to aid in system understanding and troubleshooting.
- Create and manage comprehensive project documentation to ensure stakeholder alignment and project continuity.
- Engage with program staff to extract detailed requirements and understand system usage intricacies.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with stakeholders to build consensus and validate requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to guide decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel).
- Experience with project management software and database management; SQL skills preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
