Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented DC Lab Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves assembling, building, and maintaining server systems and development platforms within a well-equipped laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise and meticulousness to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of lab processes. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology and contribute significantly to our client’s operational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, build, and install benchtop development platforms as well as large server systems.
  • Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks, to be completed by specialized personnel.
  • Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data for analysis.
  • Perform mechanical reworks using power tools, including but not limited to Dremel.
  • Execute system tests, collect and report on testing results to support product development.
  • Screen modules and boards as part of validation testing and engage in problem-solving and debug activities.
  • Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and managing inventory of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain and organize the lab equipment to enhance efficiency and propose improvements to lab processes.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma, Certification, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an electronic or testing lab environment.
  • Proven experience with silicon bringup, board-level design/validation, or system design/validation.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of computing architecture and hardware/software debugging.
  • Proficiency in Linux command line operations.
  • Experience with system-level debugging and familiarity with board bring up and customer support.
  • Basic networking knowledge and server maintenance skills are highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform simple solder reworks and use lab test equipment for signal measurement.
  • Understanding of x86/ARM architectures and accelerated GPU computing is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.
