Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join their team. This role is critical in maintaining the standards of quality for all products by conducting thorough inspections and handling related quality assurance tasks. The ideal candidate will be stationed in Carlsbad, CA, and will be instrumental in ensuring that all product specifications meet the stringent requirements and industry standards. This position plays a pivotal role in company operations, ensuring that only products of the highest quality are moved to the next phases of production or dispatched to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming inspection (IQA) on a variety of raw materials including wafers, PCBAs, components, housing, and pull tabs.
  • Conduct outgoing inspection (OQA) on completed assemblies to ensure all products meet predefined specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret prints and drawings to identify critical measurements and verify compliance with technical specifications.
  • Utilize AQL sampling plans effectively to decide batch acceptance or rejection.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and articulate the reasons for material rejections to all levels of the organization.
  • Use various inspection tools such as microscopes, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for detailed examination and measurement of components.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to communicate any issues identified during the inspection process.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple inspection tools and interpret technical documents and prints.
  • Strong knowledge of Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) sampling plans and quality assurance procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of generating detailed reports and explaining technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and prevention.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in quality control or related field is a plus.
  • Availability to start immediately is highly preferred.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires the employee to work on-site.
