Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is critical in managing a high volume of credentialing and re-credentialing tasks for healthcare providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient handling of provider communications and maintaining compliance with credentialing standards. This position is initially offered on a 6-month contract with potential for extension, involving on-site training followed by remote work capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the credentialing mailbox, ensuring timely response to provider inquiries and requests.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to collect all necessary documentation for credentialing and re-credentialing processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credentialing activities in compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing provider needs and fostering positive relationships.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues that arise during the credentialing process, implementing solutions effectively.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination regarding credentialing requirements and statuses.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry regulations and best practices in credentialing.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive provider information throughout the credentialing process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle high-volume tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a focus on providing support to healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work environments, including transitioning from on-site to remote settings.
- Proficiency in using healthcare credentialing software and databases.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to healthcare credentialing.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in healthcare administration or related field is preferred.
Pay Range: $16.00 – $18.00
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
