Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting Designer IV to join their dynamic team. This role is instrumental in assisting Engineering and Operations departments by ensuring compliance with Facility Data Management Programs. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Electrical and Instrumentation design, capable of updating and maintaining a variety of technical drawings and plans. This position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between office presence and remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain Electrical Hazardous Area Classification Plans and Grounding Plans.
  • Produce and revise Electrical One Line diagrams and Electrical Wiring Diagrams.
  • Create and modify Loop Diagrams and other essential drawings as required.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners to assess needs and ensure satisfaction with deliverables.
  • Review and ensure that all designs, drawings, and maps conform to applicable codes, standards, specifications, and internal requirements.
  • Manage the design and delivery process of drawings from conception through to as-built state, including ongoing maintenance and updates.
  • Develop Emergency Operating Procedure drawings, Cause and Effect Matrixes, and Relief System Design data.

Qualifications:
  • Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of drafting experience, with at least 3 years focused on independent design assignments.
  • Extensive experience in gas and oil industry design and drafting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant or CADWorx P&ID software.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and NEC.
  • Experience with instrumentation design for Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, and Mainline Valve Sites.
  • Ability to create schematic ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams.
  • Experience with PLC controllers including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Emerson manufacturers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.

Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
