Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator I to join their dynamic team. This role involves managing purchasing transactions and maintaining inventories to support plant maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of material ordering and inventory management. The position is based on a flexible schedule, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work, to optimize productivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage requisition traffic by creating purchase orders and managing workload based on daily business priorities and workflow optimization.
  • Prepare and review purchase requisitions/orders as required to ensure compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Warehouse Coordinator in managing inventory levels and reconcile physical inventories with records to maintain accuracy.
  • Arrange support services such as crane operations and transportation as needed to facilitate operational efficiency.
  • Source price quotations and prepare purchase requisitions/orders, ensuring optimization of price, delivery, and terms.
  • Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material, value discrepancies, and manage warranty claims and returns.
  • Review invoices, resolve disputes, and forward them for appropriate approval to ensure timely payment processing.
  • Participate in annual inventory audits and assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive inventory lists.

Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of material ordering and contractor mobilization processes.
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of contract management and inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of maintenance, turnaround planning, and execution processes.
  • Supply chain certification or contract administration certification preferred.
  • Vocational technical or business diploma required.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to workload fluctuations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to offer solutions.

Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
