Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Engineer to join their team in Houston, TX. This pivotal role involves leading critical delivery engagements to ensure operational excellence and achieving transformative business outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate will play a leadership role, influencing both internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining a state-of-the-art network environment that prioritizes security and reliability. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of enterprise networking and a proven track record in service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead critical delivery engagements and ensure operational excellence in service delivery execution.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders with innovative and compelling technology solutions.
  • Assess customer requirements and develop service delivery methods to achieve business and operational outcomes.
  • Act as a technical leader and trusted advisor to assess, develop, and manage the engineering team’s service methods.
  • Collaborate on projects to deliver business solutions and technology solutions that align with customer goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex customer problems supporting critical issues.
  • Continuously learn and apply knowledge of relevant technologies to improve service and solutions.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Networking.
  • In-depth knowledge of key technologies and protocols in enterprise and data center environments.
  • Expertise with Cisco software features and functionality.
  • Strong operational and consultancy experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Professional R/S level certification (e.g., CCNP, CCIE R/S) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience with complex network solution design and optimization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ansible and Python is a plus.
  • Ability to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances.

Pay Range: $70.00 – $75.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
