Role Summary
A senior AI engineer position within an enterprise environment focused on developing scalable, production-grade decisioning and data processing systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in Python, data pipelines, and AI integration, with a primary emphasis on building reliable and maintainable solutions using cloud platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and supporting enterprise data workflows, incorporating AI and large language models, and ensuring system robustness in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable Python-based data processing and decisioning pipelines utilizing Databricks, PySpark, and Pandas.
- Maintain and optimize enterprise data workflows within the Databricks platform to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Translate complex business rules and domain-specific logic into modular, testable, and maintainable decision systems.
- Develop reusable, modular components suitable for orchestrated production workflows.
- Build and deploy AI-powered solutions through Azure AI Foundry, integrating enterprise AI, OpenAI, and other large language models as needed.
- Configure and optimize prompts, templates, and structured outputs for LLMs to support enterprise use cases.
- Implement safety, compliance, and validation controls including PII handling and input/output validation.
- Integrate internal and external APIs with robust error handling, retries, and logging strategies for production stability.
- Participate in version control activities such as branching, pull requests, and code reviews, ensuring high-quality code delivery.
- Support and troubleshoot live production systems, monitoring performance and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with Python engineering for enterprise data systems and decision pipelines.
- Extensive experience working with Databricks for data engineering, notebook development, and production pipeline deployment.
- Strong expertise with Azure AI Foundry, including deploying and integrating AI solutions within enterprise environments.
- Advanced proficiency in PySpark and Pandas for large-scale data processing tasks.
- Demonstrated experience implementing business rules, decision logic, or rule-driven systems.
- Familiarity with AI integration, including OpenAI models, LLMs, and AI-assisted workflows in enterprise settings.
- Solid understanding of Git-based workflows, including branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline creation, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Experience supporting enterprise production workloads, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet project deadlines.

Publishing Pay Range: $74.31 – $77.68 Hourly
