Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in leading projects that enhance and improve business processes across various scales, primarily focusing on the technical solutions that meet user needs within the IT organization. The position is based on a project basis, offering a considerable opportunity to impact our strategic business initiatives directly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and business process improvement, particularly within the oil and gas or related industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple projects as a project team member, focusing on establishing or improving business processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
  • Review and analyze technology utilization concerning network communications, data management, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to measure current performance and identify opportunities for improvement that align with strategic goals.
  • Validate the value of process improvement opportunities and recommend options for realizing the benefits of potential opportunities.
  • Perform cost estimating, scoping, and scheduling for process improvement projects, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Develop and lead the process of converting and loading data from various systems into new systems, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Plan and lead the definition, testing, and implementation of new system releases, maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • An MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with a preference for those with oil and gas industry exposure.
  • Strong project management skills, including scoping, planning, communication, ongoing management, and risk management.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and a solid understanding of business process and process redesign concepts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to summarize and discuss strategies and options effectively.
  • Experience with UI/UX Design, Azure Dev Ops, and SWIFT is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel as required for the role and work collaboratively across different teams and disciplines.
