Role Summary
The IT Business Systems Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for bridging the gap between business units and IT. This role involves translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic objectives. The analyst provides oversight for system improvements, modernization initiatives, and acts as a trusted advisor to both technical teams and business leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead large scale, cross functional initiatives impacting multiple systems and business units.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and IT stakeholders, providing strategic insights.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for performance enhancement, increased efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop and guide system roadmaps, modernization strategies, and digital transformation efforts.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define issues, prioritize projects, and recommend IT investments.
- Oversee system integration testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and execution.
- Maintain responsibility for application health, managing risks, and fostering continuous system improvement.
- Mentor junior Business Systems Analysts and team members, supporting professional development.
- Act as a liaison between IT development teams and business units for system enhancements and new implementations.
- Conduct requirements gathering, analyze business processes, and translate requirements into technical specifications following best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business systems analysis, enterprise applications, or related IT roles.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, system integration, and SDLC methodologies.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders at the executive level.
- Experience leading cross functional projects with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Well versed in incident, change, and problem management practices, preferably with ServiceNow.
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and drive strategic IT initiatives without direct authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred.
- Availability to work on-site in accordance with business needs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Publishing Pay Range: $48.00 – $52.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
