Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Engineer to join their team, focusing on delivering innovative networking and architecture solutions within the public sector. This role is based in New York and plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring operational excellence and achieving transformative business outcomes for our clients in the U.S. public sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a commitment to driving success in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead critical delivery engagements and ensure operational excellence in service delivery execution.
- Influence internal and external stakeholders by presenting innovative and compelling technology solutions.
- Assess customer requirements and develop service delivery methods to achieve customer and business outcomes.
- Provide senior technical expertise in network infrastructures and contribute to business and technology solutions.
- Collaborate with various agencies within the U.S. Public Sector to support their IT transformation initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to assigned customers/accounts, making onsite visits as needed to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Resolve complex customer problems and provide guidance on best practices in network management and security.
- Continuously learn and apply new technical skills relevant to the role and adjacent technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Networking within a consulting or public sector environment.
- Deep understanding of key technologies and protocols in Enterprise Networking and data center environments.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP or equivalent; CCIE R/S, DevNet Professional certifications are desirable.
- Strong experience with Cisco Routing & Switching Platforms and Datacenter Switching Platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of network design and optimization, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
- Proficiency in programming and automation tools such as Ansible and Python is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in ambiguous circumstances.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to function as a team leader.
