Job Description:
GDH Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Control Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to drive success in a leading, diverse operating company known for its achievement-oriented culture. As a Senior Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and supporting process control systems for refined products and petrochemical pipeline operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with various levels within the organization and manage critical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain process control systems and instrumentation for pipeline and storage operations.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to local operations teams, enhancing process efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and oversee project scopes and estimates, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process control systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Lead the configuration and implementation of HMI and PLC platforms, focusing on Wonderware Intouch and Allen Bradley Control Logix.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of process control configurations to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Offer guidance and training to team members on process control best practices and new technologies.
  • Be available for on-call duties and emergency response as required, ensuring continuous system operations.                                                                                       
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in process control within the storage and pipeline sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in configuring and managing HMI and PLC systems, particularly Wonderware Intouch and Allen Bradley Control Logix.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed documentation and maintain industry standards in loop tuning, safety systems, and PLC configuration.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time for project needs.
  • Availability to be on call 24/7 for emergency response and system support.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
