Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FIT Core Infrastructure Consultant to join their dynamic team. This role involves a focus on cabling infrastructure design and installation management, along with specifying the UPS Systems, Mechanical (HVAC), and Electrical requirements to support Network and Telecom Equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the entire project design process, from preliminary assessments to final execution. This position is on-site and offers the opportunity to work on several concurrent projects, providing technical expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and installation management of cabling infrastructure for various projects.
  • Specify the necessary UPS Systems, Mechanical (HVAC), and Electrical setups required for supporting Network and Telecom Equipment.
  • Engage in all phases of the project design process including preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, problem resolution, and drawing and specification production.
  • Conduct site visits, review technical documents, and maintain accessibility for both customers and vendors.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and descriptive drawings for voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems.
  • Provide direction to support staff and ensure project assignments are completed with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain effective communication with engineering teams, related staff, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials as an RCDD preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
  • Experience or understanding of 3-D modeling software such as Revit and/or Triforma valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines and customers effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information and conduct presentations to customers.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, Visio, Bluebeam Revu.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

Pay Range: $60.00 – $70.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires the employee to work on-site.
