Cyber Systems Community of Excellence Advisor & Mid ACAS Administrator
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professionals to fill the roles of Cyber Systems Community of Excellence Advisor and Mid ACAS Administrator. These full-time positions are critical in supporting Air Force operations and cybersecurity initiatives. The roles are based onsite and candidates can choose from three locations: Langley AFB, Hanscom AFB, and Scott AFB. These positions are contingent upon upcoming new contract scopes from the government and may transition from temporary to permanent placements. Candidates must have active secret clearance to start.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a consultant and advisor to leadership within the Air Force operations community.
- Research, track, and report on program statuses, operational orders, and cyber operations.
- Compile, format, and present detailed reports on cyber operations status and evidence.
- Provide advisory support for Air Force operations processes and strategic planning.
- Review system vulnerability and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) reports for compliance management.
- Support Risk Management Framework documentation and manage eMASS packages including Plan of Action and Milestones.
- Install, monitor, test, troubleshoot, and administer ACAS/Nessus Vulnerability Scanner applications.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability scans and analyses, collaborating with System Administrators to mitigate risks and author remediation plans.
Qualifications:
- Currently possess DOD 8570, IAT Level II Security+ certification or equivalent.
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher; TOP SECRET clearance required for Mid ACAS Administrator role.
- Proven experience in IT system administration and cybersecurity applications.
- Familiarity with Air Force operations, cyber assessments, and cybersecurity architectures.
- Strong organizational skills and high efficiency in personal task management.
- Experience with network design, LAN/WAN systems, and VMware virtual environments.
- Knowledge of DoD STIGs, IA Tools (Host Based Security System), and Risk Management Framework.
- Proficiency in using ServiceNow or Remedy for IT service management.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and identify security requirements and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
