Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Engineer to join their team. This role involves collaboration with company leaders and mentoring relationships, while also focusing on the technical aspects of network and systems engineering in data center environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. This position offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to design and enhance network architecture.
  • Implement and manage Cisco hardware such as Nexus 5k, Nexus 7k, ACI & VXLAN fabrics.
  • Operate and troubleshoot large-scale network environments, ensuring robustness and minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain virtualization technologies including VRF, VDC, Linux, VMware, and Openstack setups.
  • Support the deployment and management of Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies.
  • Contribute to network automation projects using Python and Ansible playbooks.
  • Ensure network security and integrity through regular monitoring and maintenance practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering staff and other teams as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in a network engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internetworking, Routing, Switching, and networking protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and operating systems including Catalyst, Nexus, and ACI.
  • In-depth understanding of network management, availability, and automation processes.
  • Proficiency in using network design and analysis tools.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies and management of large-scale infrastructures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with Git and REST API for network automation and configuration management.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly desirable.
