Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure that enable efficient and secure data collection, storage, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in SQL Server environments, C#, and Powershell scripting.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust data storage solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, and scripts in SQL Server 2019 and 2022 to enhance data processing efficiency.
  • Construct and maintain ETL/ELT processes using SSIS, ensuring data integrity and timely availability.
  • Perform data quality assurance, implement governance practices, and ensure stringent data security measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and analytics to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Document data architecture designs and best practices, contributing to the knowledge base and guiding future projects.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement system improvements to increase performance, reduce costs, and improve data system sustainability.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on SQL Server environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, and experience with database administration and tuning.
  • Experience with C#, Script Tasks, Powershell, and SSIS development.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security practices, and quality control measures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Availability to work on a hybrid schedule as per project requirements.

Pay Range: $50.00 – $70.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
