Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Implementation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers within our client organizations to influence project details and outcomes. As an Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing changes according to project governance and participating in various projects and programs. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of network services and infrastructure. The role is based in Dallas, TX, and involves occasional weekend work to meet project demands.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to influence project outcomes.
- Implement network changes in accordance with established project governance frameworks.
- Participate in multiple projects, providing guidance and support to the project team as needed.
- Evaluate client network infrastructure and operations to optimize network architecture and capabilities.
- Support existing Routing and Switching infrastructure including various Cisco devices.
- Engineer solutions for integrating routing and switching infrastructure into new and existing facilities.
- Work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to coordinate necessary surveys and installations.
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot any routing or switching issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Cisco IOS Platforms and products such as Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 3K, and Cisco Routers series 2800, 2900, 3900.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN hardware infrastructure changes and configurations.
- Expertise in Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP) and Routing Redistribution.
- Experience with fiber optic technologies (ST, SC, LC) and Cisco switch stack configurations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred. A BS Degree in IT, Telecom, or Computer Science is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Arista Devices and WAAS devices is considered a plus.
