Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Specialist to join a leading firm in the power generation sector. This full-time role demands a professional who is adept at managing and optimizing industrial control systems (ICS) and distributed control systems (DCS), particularly with platforms like Emerson Ovation and GE Mark VIe. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in power generation facilities management, coupled with advanced technical skills in server management and operational technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering design and support for control systems to ensure safe and optimal operations of power generation equipment.
  • Develop and implement control system modifications, logic, and display configurations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage software updates, including patching and antivirus management, to ensure system security and reliability.
  • Support the troubleshooting of control system issues, working closely with operations and technical teams to diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of control systems and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to manage system modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities effectively.
  • Participate in project management activities, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and commissioning of control system projects.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in power generation facility operations and management.
  • Expertise in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly Emerson Ovation and GE Mark VIe.
  • Strong skills in VMWare vSphere environments, including vSAN, ESXi, and vCenter.
  • Experience with server management, including hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
  • Basic scripting skills and proficiency in software for patching, configuration management, and system monitoring.
  • Ability to lead projects and provide technical direction to teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of mentoring junior staff and interfacing with stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in operational technology, control systems, or related fields are preferred.


Pay Range: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour
This position is based in office and requires the employee to work on-site.
