Infrastructure Proxy Engineer

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Proxy Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies, supporting the development and implementation of technology solutions that meet enterprise design and engineering standards.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and policies.
• Develop and refine infrastructure tools and services by creating templates, playbooks, and automations to facilitate deployment and integration.
• Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to ensure they meet the required standards and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of third-party products and technologies to determine their suitability and compliance with organizational standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to processes and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and organizational challenges, fostering an inclusive and productive work environment.

• Proven expertise in technologies such as McAfee Web Gateway, Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls, and TippingPoint IDS/IPS.
• Strong understanding of web proxies, advanced content filtering, and network security protocols.
• Extensive knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancing, and basic routing/switching.
• Experience with SSL certificates, SSL decryption methodologies, and a basic understanding of Cryptography.
• Proficient in automation tools and scripting languages such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Ability to create detailed application and network diagrams, summarizing complex systems and workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud encryption and tokenization technologies, and virtualization platforms such as ESXi and vSphere.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a networking or security-focused role, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Relevant certifications in network security or related fields are highly desirable.
