IT Technician
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled IT Technician to join their team on a full-time basis at their Overland Park, KS location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing various IT hardware and software applications. This role requires a proactive approach to IT support, ensuring that all technology resources operate efficiently. The IT Technician will also participate in complex projects, enhancing our IT Client Services and supporting cross-functional projects. This position includes on-call support duties during non-business hours and may involve other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, troubleshoot, install, and repair IT hardware and software applications, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, mobile devices, and network systems.
- Manage IT hardware assets in compliance with company policies and established procedures.
- Assist in the execution of moderately complex IT projects and contribute to project deliverables.
- Coordinate with third-party technical support vendors as necessary to resolve issues efficiently.
- Utilize ITSM platforms to manage, track, and record activities, ensuring adherence to service level objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date support-related procedural, technical, and administrative documentation.
- Provide intermediate support for complex end-user issues and service requests.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for support during non-business hours and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, particularly in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing IT assets and familiarity with ITSM platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with third-party vendors and internal teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Capability to provide on-call support as required by business needs.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
