Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Jira/Atlassian Administrator for a 6-month contract with a potential for full-time employment. The role involves managing and optimizing the Atlassian platform to support software development and project management processes within a dynamic financial services environment. The ideal candidate will be based in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, or Tennessee, although applicants from outside these areas are also considered.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of JIRA, Confluence, and associated plugins or add-ons.
  • Plan and execute upgrades to JIRA and plugins, ensuring minimal disruption to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, enhancing their understanding and utilization of the Atlassian tools.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices, ensuring a robust knowledge base for team reference.
  • Optimize system performance by proactively managing and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize workflows, fields, and dashboards according to project needs.
  • Architect and administer JIRA deployment strategies to ensure efficient tracking and reporting of projects and issues.
  • Develop and support automation scripts to streamline operations and enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in configuring and managing Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project management principles, SDLC, and DevOps.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
  • Experience with Jira integrations such as Tempo, Miro, etc., is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of formal release management and change management processes.
  • Proficiency in managing Jira Cloud and Jira Planner/Timeline Automations.
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • High level of mental agility and the ability to think tactically while aligning with strategic business goals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.

Pay Range: $60.00 – $70.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
