Role Summary
This position oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures, primarily utilizing Cisco Nexus platforms. The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for developing strategic network solutions, ensuring system integrity, and supporting organizational communication needs. This role involves leadership in network configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal connectivity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of network architecture utilizing Cisco Nexus switches and related technologies.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN networks to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and infrastructure layouts.
  • Create and maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation using Lucid chart or similar tools.
  • Resolve daily network connectivity issues promptly within the service desk queue.
  • Provide immediate technical support and guidance to resolve urgent network problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and security.
  • Monitor network systems and implement updates or patches as needed to ensure system integrity.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and recommend improvements to existing network infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for network security and performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role with a focus on complex LAN/WAN environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms and related network technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
  • Documented experience in creating network diagrams and maintaining detailed network documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Available to work during business hours and respond to urgent network issues as needed.
  • Working rights to be employed and work legally within the approved location.
  • Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 -$64.52 Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
