Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of piping and mechanical drawings from initial concept through Issued-For-Construction status, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Support engineering teams by assisting in the creation and revision of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), Facility Plot Plans, and other related technical drawings.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive facility drawings for plants, stations, and above-ground appurtenances to support Operations & Maintenance (O&M), tactical, and engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed working plans, diagrams, and drawings in accordance with established specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate multiple design and drafting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to determine project needs and ensure satisfaction with deliverables.
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools throughout the project lifecycle, including typical 30/60/90 and/or IFR/IFA phases, to enhance facility design and visualization.
  • Lead As-Built and Walk-down efforts to validate drawing accuracy, support safety initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze existing business processes and support the development of sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements to enhance operational standards.
  • Assist with process improvement opportunities, operational standards, and procedures that focus on improved safety, increased efficiency, and reduced costs.
  • Apply data analysis and technological skills to fulfill data requests, generate metric reports, and support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support change management and ensure project success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on piping and mechanical design.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with CADWorx Plant software.
  • At least 3 years of experience with CADWorx P&ID software.
  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD-compatible software for technical drawing and modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of operational and field environments, including work practices and conditions in process plants, gathering systems, pipelines, and chemical plants.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple complex assignments.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly (up to 25%) to field locations as required by project needs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

Pay Range: $48.00 – $52.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
