Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Hosting and Fabric Services Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering a variety of Network, Security, Cloud, Virtualization, SDN, and Automation technologies. The successful candidate will be involved from early conceptual assessments through proof of concepts, playing a crucial role in transformative initiatives that aim to implement automated self-service solutions to meet internal and external customer demands efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy highly available network and security infrastructures, including underlay and overlay networking constructs like MPLS, eVPN, and VxLAN.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic routing protocols and manage complex route manipulation to optimize network performance.
  • Implement and manage multi-tenant and multi-data-center deployments, ensuring robust security and seamless connectivity.
  • Automate network and security deployments and functions across diverse environments to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provision, protect, and maintain internet peering points, manage public IP addresses, and implement DDOS services.
  • Engage in coding and scripting to automate tasks, utilizing languages and tools such as Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues across all layers of the OSI model, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of network/security designs and configurations to assist management and team members.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on security, cloud services, and virtualization technologies.
  • Expertise in network design principles and best practices for large-scale deployments.
  • Strong experience with software-defined networking solutions and service provider peering arrangements.
  • Advanced knowledge of coding and scripting for network automation (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Practical experience with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VxLAN, and IPSEC.
  • Understanding of PCI/DSS controls, protections, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to articulate complex network/security designs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Desirable: Experience with Cisco and Arista equipment, VMWare networking, and Data Center Networks.
