Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled OT Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our manufacturing facilities by ensuring robust network connectivity and security. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in both traditional IT and operational technology (OT) environments. This is a contract position based in Dallas, TX, with an expected duration contingent upon project needs and performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and document the current state of OT network infrastructure, including endpoint connectivity and network security configurations.
  • Facilitate comprehensive data collection, classification, and analysis across various manufacturing facilities, adhering to specific safety and operational protocols.
  • Develop and maintain detailed network designs (both physical and logical) to support existing operations and future requirements.
  • Prepare and implement detailed implementation plans, including bill of materials and configuration guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and align network designs with business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on network management, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for local IT teams to ensure proper maintenance and management of the network infrastructure.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in network engineering with a strong focus on OT environments.
  • Expertise in IPv4/IPv6 networking, OSI model, and network security principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing control systems and their network connectivity.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and network analysis tools.
  • Ability to produce and interpret technical documentation and network diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are preferred.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Dallas, TX and travel to various manufacturing locations as needed.
