P21 Finance Consultant

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Prophet 21 Finance Lead Consultant to join our client’s ERP consulting team. This is a senior-level opportunity designed for professionals with extensive experience in Epicor Prophet 21 ERP financial modules, focusing on the configuration, implementation, and optimization of finance processes within distribution or supply chain environments. The role offers a fully remote working arrangement and is available on a contract basis, providing flexibility for qualified candidates to contribute from an approved location. As the Finance Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless deployment and ongoing support for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Prophet 21 financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and financial reporting functionalities.
• Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to gather and analyze business requirements, translating these into effective ERP configurations and solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize finance processes that align with industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and organizational goals.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and supply chain, to ensure comprehensive business process integration throughout the ERP lifecycle.
• Oversee data migration activities, system testing, and user acceptance procedures to ensure successful transition to Prophet 21 financial modules.
• Conduct user training sessions and develop detailed documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and user adoption.
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimization to maximize ERP performance and user satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve gaps between client requirements and Prophet 21 functionality, recommending enhancements or process improvements where necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience working with Prophet 21 ERP, specifically focusing on finance modules and related business processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles and financial operations within distribution or manufacturing industries.
• Proven track record in leading ERP finance implementations, upgrades, or large-scale projects in technical environments.
• Strong proficiency in business process mapping, requirements documentation, and user training methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Professional certification such as CPA or other recognized financial qualification.
• Experience working with data migration tools and financial reporting platforms is highly desirable.
• Availability to work remotely and deliver results in a dynamic, client-facing consulting environment.

Pay Range: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
