Role Summary
This Program Manager oversees the successful delivery of complex, high-impact programs aimed at achieving strategic business objectives. The role involves providing strong governance, operational rigor, stakeholder alignment, and financial accountability to ensure initiatives deliver maximum value. It also fosters a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement within project management and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program delivery, ensuring initiatives align with the client’s strategic vision and measurable outcomes
- Drive clarity and momentum in ambiguous environments by shaping strategy, guiding decision-making, and managing change
- Develop and implement governance structures tailored to program and stakeholder needs
- Manage program resourcing, aligning personnel and operational needs with project priorities
- Identify and mitigate program-level risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with sponsors, business owners, clients, and internal teams
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to maintain program momentum and alignment
- Oversee program schedules, scope, resource planning, and critical path analysis for operational excellence
- Lead, inspire, and develop project managers and coordinators, fostering growth and resilience within the team
- Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring strategic financial performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred
- PMP or PgMP, Agile, SAFe, or ITIL certifications are a plus
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management, with 5+ years leading large, complex IT or infrastructure programs in professional or managed services environments
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams and manage executive stakeholders in matrixed organizations
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multimillion-dollar programs
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, governance, risk management, and program planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI)
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence
Publishing Pay Range: $78.00 – $80.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
