Role Summary
A Project Manager III is responsible for leading and managing medium to large-scale projects throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards. This role requires strong expertise in various project management methodologies and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Manager III collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve project objectives and drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage medium to complex projects from initiation through closure, utilizing appropriate project management methodologies.
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, resources, and vendor engagement to meet project milestones.
- Prepare and communicate project status reports, key metrics, and updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Implement change management practices aligned with organizational standards and guidelines.
- Monitor project progress, perform gap and root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions for risk mitigation.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, group facilitation activities, and coordinate communication efforts.
- Manage project documentation, including requirements, contracts, and compliance with federal, state, or agency standards.
- Oversee and facilitate contract processes from initiation to closure.
- Ensure project activities adhere to organizational and regulatory guidelines and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Project Management, Leadership, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant project management experience.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects across different methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid.
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tools.
- Familiarity with PMI's PMBOK Guide and Standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex tasks and multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated change management skills and the ability to lead collaborative activities.
- Ability to learn quickly and develop leadership-ready presentations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $60.00 hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
