We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in technology infrastructure and software deployment to lead a critical initiative within a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This position is designed for candidates with a proven track record in project management, especially those who have previously worked with infrastructure and deployment projects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and effective execution of project goals. This is a contract opportunity with a flexible, hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, document project needs, and create user stories to guide project execution.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project backlogs, facilitate change management processes, and drive project prioritization and planning activities.
  • Provide input and recommendations on technical design and architecture, collaborating closely with infrastructure and application teams (note: no hands-on coding required).
  • Support deployment and production readiness activities, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and operational standards.
  • Develop and deliver key project artifacts within the first 90 days, including comprehensive project plans, stakeholder matrices, and status reports.
  • Conduct process analysis and recommend improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness (process improvement experience is a plus).
  • Partner with business analysts and additional functional team members to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within scope.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in project management, preferably within utilities, infrastructure, or software deployment environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution within a technical or enterprise IT context.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong accountability and follow-through, with a history of driving projects to successful completion while managing competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and shared ownership of project outcomes.
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and Jira, and documentation platforms including Confluence and SharePoint.
  • General technical knowledge of infrastructure and deployment processes; exposure to Ansible and Terraform is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with integration or API concepts is a plus, though not required.
  • Comfortable working in a moderately paced environment that values direct communication and in-person collaboration.
  • Demonstrated traits of patience, curiosity, and the ability to ask probing questions to drive project clarity and results.

Pay Range: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
