Senior Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a transformative project within the healthcare sector. This role is central to a multi-year initiative aimed at transitioning from a monolithic system to a modular, interoperable system based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Federal standards and regulations, working alongside multiple vendors and project methodologies. This full-time position is based on site at the Central Medicaid facility in Montgomery, AL, offering a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and monitor contract requirements for development, configuration, and operational activities.
- Review and approve program, project, or software artifacts developed by multiple vendors.
- Work closely with business areas to support and ensure their understanding of vendor proposed solutions.
- Provide business and requirements oversight, ensuring alignment with project objectives and compliance with Federal standards.
- Assist with CMS reporting and certification processes, maintaining project assets and communications.
- Identify and report on abnormalities or variances in project progress.
- Support multiple software development methodologies or software configuration activities.
- Engage in effective stakeholder management, communicating complex requirements and scopes with clarity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including 3 years in business process modelling and management.
- At least 3 years of experience in provider management within the healthcare sector.
- 5 years of experience in MMIS or domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or with a major healthcare payer.
- 2 years of experience working on multi-vendor projects.
- Proficiency in Visio, MS Project, Office 365, and collaboration tools such as Webex/Teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as part of a team.
