Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their innovative technology team. This role is pivotal in supporting our Customer Centric Delivery Team and enhancing their data product offerings. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and managing data integration and preparation processes. This is a fully remote position, allowing for flexibility and convenience while contributing to groundbreaking projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and fully test application enhancements from business requirements to ensure robust data solutions.
- Perform data requirements analysis and develop mapping requirements for data sourcing, transformation, and application of complex logic.
- Define and develop configurations, and operational/administration guidelines for the data integration layer to provide it as a service to internal teams.
- Develop ETL, ELT, and other service-based integration jobs as part of overall Data application delivery.
- Create comprehensive documentation as required by the software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards.
- Communicate, escalate, and/or resolve risks and issues related to assigned projects/initiatives effectively.
- Provide operational support of data solutions, including resolution of incidents, service requests, and management of planned support activities.
- Create and maintain change management requests and adhere to the change management process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software analysis, development, engineering, and support.
- Proven expertise with SQL in a Relational Database Environment (Microsoft SQL preferred).
- At least 5 years’ experience in object-oriented programming, JavaScript, or ELT/ETL tools such as SSIS, Fivetran, and Coalesce; SSIS experience is mandatory.
- Must have prior experience in Data Warehouse environments.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud services is considered a plus.
- Experience with Snowflake is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present solutions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Must be flexible, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and variable project conditions.
Pay Range: $58.00 – $75.00
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
