Role Summary
A Senior I&E Design Coordinator is responsible for leading electrical and instrumentation design efforts on large-scale capital projects. This position involves coordinating project development from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing technical review processes. The role requires extensive experience in design, drafting, and project coordination within industrial plant and pipeline environments.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate design and drafting management to ensure timely and accurate completion of project activities.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), P&ID diagrams, equipment layouts, and facility plot plans for various construction projects.
- Provide standardized symbology, equipment tagging, and resolving drawing development issues throughout project lifecycle.
- Review third-party design packages, including Issued and As-Built drawings, for compliance with company standards and industry codes.
- Assist in developing project scopes, engineering scopes, and construction scopes of work for project procurement and contracting.
- Coordinate design package distribution among stakeholders and facilitate effective communication and information exchange.
- Support project meetings to gather customer requirements and provide technical input for design optimization.
- Create parts lists and perform material take-offs to ensure prompt availability of required resources.
- Maintain records of technical communications, design issues, and project documentation for accountability and reference.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of company standards, procedures, and best practices for electrical and instrumentation design.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or college coursework in drafting or design is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant design experience, including 5 years in project coordination roles within industrial, plant, or pipeline environments.
- Proven expertise in electrical and instrumentation design, drafting, and project management.
- Experienced with CADD software, specifically AutoCAD, and related drafting tools.
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced design coordinators.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations applicable to industrial design projects.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Willingness to travel domestically by air and car up to 10%.

Publishing Pay Range: $105,000.00 – $110,000.00 annually
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
