Software Developer

Role Summary
This position involves reviewing business and technical requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability for software applications within an enterprise environment. The role requires managing comprehensive testing efforts, including planning, execution, automation, and defect tracking to deliver high-quality software solutions. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of application testing methodologies and collaborate effectively with development and business teams to ensure application excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review business and technical requirements to confirm clarity and testability.
• Develop detailed test plans, including creating and updating test cases, for software applications.
• Execute manual testing, perform code reviews, and develop automated tests to enhance testing efficiency.
• Track testing progress, coverage, and outcomes using application lifecycle management tools.
• Automate test scenarios to improve testing speed, depth, and coverage, reducing overall testing costs.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
• Monitor post-release application quality and work with teams to expedite fixes for identified issues.
• Ensure software development and quality standards are consistently met and documented.
• Support the development of test harnesses that enable rapid, repeatable, and reportable testing processes.
• Participate in identifying potential application performance, usability, and deployment issues throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience leading and managing testing efforts for large enterprise IT projects.
• Proven expertise in test planning, execution, automation, and defect management.
• Strong knowledge of application testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and usability testing.
• Working knowledge of runtime memory analysis, code profiling, and SQL, including creating complex queries and data management for testing.
• Experience working and communicating effectively with developers, database administrators, and business analysts.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate software quality impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Development or programming experience with at least 4 years in test automation or software development.
• Familiarity with networking, load balancing, Active Directory, .NET applications, messaging middleware, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS/MIS, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and a quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.

Publishing Pay Range: $72.00 – $78.00 Hourly

This position is based on-site and requires employee to work on-site.
