Role Summary

A Solutions Architect is responsible for leading the design, development, and management of a portfolio of technical solutions within a specific line of business. This senior-level position involves creating comprehensive architecture designs that incorporate hardware, software, processes, and people to support enterprise objectives. The Solutions Architect ensures alignment with business strategies, standards, and governance, providing technical leadership and guidance across projects and teams to facilitate scalable, efficient, and future-proof solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership to evolve the architecture of a business portfolio to solve complex problems and meet current and future needs.
  • Develop high-level solution visions and conduct assessments to shape future solution directions based on business cases.
  • Design solutions utilizing existing patterns and reference architectures, producing blueprints, diagrams, architecture decision records, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop prototypes, reference implementations, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Conduct architecture reviews to evaluate alignment with principles, standards, and strategic roadmaps, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Perform technology options assessments, analyzing trade-offs and benefits to guide decision-making.
  • Offer internal consulting on technology matters, providing guidance, advice, and coaching to teams and stakeholders.
  • Support knowledge sharing initiatives through training, workshops, and mentoring programs to foster architectural capabilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and trust.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant innovations to enhance solution architectures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field; 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience across multiple IT solution development disciplines, including application development, middleware, cloud, infrastructure architecture, or database management.
  • At least two years of building cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven experience in developing modern applications using serverless, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Two or more years of experience developing APIs with protocols such as REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
  • Knowledge of various software architecture styles, design patterns, and technology platforms.
  • Experience working with multiple database technologies and frontend development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology trends, agile methodologies, and product management processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Publishing Pay Range: $75.00 – $88.00 Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
