Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Corrosion Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves conducting technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, and overseeing the design and construction of new and existing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry and operational requirements, with the ability to take initiative and anticipate customer needs. This is a pivotal role that requires both independent work and team collaboration to achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Account for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments using experience, innovation, and judgment.
  • Supervise the work of others and demonstrate technical expertise in a specialty area or geographic location.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate internal/external customer needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions.
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans, and meet training needs.
  • Champion processes, procedures, and safety standards within the organization.
  • Monitor and control costs and resources associated with large-scope projects.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the industry with PE Certification.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as a main priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Project Management experience is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal corrosion control mechanisms, monitoring, testing, inspection, and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities to formulate logical, risk-based recommendations based on sound economic principles.
  • Aptitude for database and GIS applications, and Business Intelligence skills (e.g., Power BI, Pi Vision).
  • Preferred: Current NACE/AMPP Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist certification and Professional Engineer License.

Pay Range: $145,000 – $150,000 annually

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
