Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Network Operations Engineer to join their team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing operational network services including wired and wireless connectivity, network security, and unified communication systems. The successful candidate will participate in the design, planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of all network services. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a hybrid setting out of Tulsa.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to IT staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks and responsibilities.
- Maintain technical competence on existing and emerging network service capabilities and automation technologies.
- Lead Change management, Incident Management, Root cause analysis, Problem diagnosis, and Error resolution processes.
- Work with Network Engineering and Architecture to provide operational technology direction with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Review network designs for hardware and software systems, providing operational feedback to minimize maintenance and maximize system lifecycles.
- Conduct technical research on network upgrades to determine feasibility and compatibility, establishing maintenance plans.
- Act as a technical advisor for all network, firewall, and voice services, coordinating with internal and external teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Network Operations Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in network infrastructure, security protocols, and unified communication systems.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and training IT staff.
- Advanced knowledge of network service capabilities and automation technologies.
- Ability to manage complex maintenance tasks and system lifecycle planning.
- Experience in Change management, Incident Management, and Problem-solving.
- Technical proficiency in evaluating new hardware/software for network systems.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Desire to work collaboratively in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
