Role Summary
This role involves managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment, primarily supporting federal initiatives. The incumbent will oversee project execution, financial tracking, stakeholder communication, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery. It requires a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships across diverse teams and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large-scale projects with multiple work streams.
- Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), including interdependencies and critical paths.
- Monitor project progress, report status to stakeholders, and ensure timely, quality deliverables.
- Maintain resource plans, ensuring effective allocation and distribution across the project portfolio.
- Implement and oversee engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures aligned with project methodologies.
- Proactively manage scope changes, risks, and project variances to meet regional goals and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize project management tools and techniques to improve project execution, efficiency, and financial management.
- Track and analyze financial metrics such as profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of management through strategic internal and external communication plans.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager supporting externally facing projects.
- Proven experience in Professional Services or Managed Services environments, supporting global financial customers.
- Project management experience in networking, storage, virtualization, cloud, security, or collaboration (Unified Communications).
- Experience with multisite deployments such as wireless, Wi-Fi, or POS systems.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools, with PMP and/or CAPM certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including financial report analysis and creation, preferably in Clarity.
- Extensive experience in people management, strategic planning, and change management.
- Demonstrated risk management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.
- Proficiency in stakeholder analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and team-building skills.
- The ability to work independently while diligently tracking project timelines.
Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $69.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
