Our client is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator with a strong background in cloud computing environments. This role involves maintaining, configuring, and reliably operating computer systems and servers. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Azure and cybersecurity best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure in a cloud environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Ensure security and redundancy strategies are in place and effective by setting up and managing backups, security solutions, and firewalls.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention and to lower the downtime of services.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to resolve issues and support users adhering to security and service guidelines.
- Support the deployment and management of SaaS products through Intune and Azure Identity, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with the established IT standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in Cloud System Administration, specifically with Azure.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+.
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with varying priorities.
- Experience with monitoring systems, automated software deployment, and cloud-native tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions.
Pay Range: $45.00 – $53.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
