Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NG911 Technical Program Manager / Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on the delivery, implementation, and ongoing management of the NG911 program; ensuring robust, secure, and reliable network solutions that align with client requirements and project objectives. The ideal candidate will be a technical lead, acting as the single point of contact among various stakeholders. This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and liaison among internal, client, and vendor stakeholders, managing all aspects of technical requirements, design, implementation, and risk management for NG911.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the technical delivery and deployment of the NG911 program, ensuring alignment with customer strategies and schedules.
- Lead technical discoveries, assessments, implementations, remediations, and network projects including establishment, upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
- Provide regular technical status updates and reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date technical documentation, including as-built records and network architecture for each PSAP deployment.
- Assist in developing and managing the master deployment schedule, ensuring technical readiness coincides with client deployment strategies.
- Configure, maintain, and secure networking equipment following best practices and regular security audits.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, technical program management, or similar roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices and experience with security audits.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in high-activity, mission-critical environments.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
- Preferred: Experience with NG911, public safety networks, or similar critical infrastructure projects. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and relevant networking/security certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE).
Pay Range: $70.00 – $75.00 Hourly
