Role Summary
This position is a senior-level role focused on automated testing within an enterprise testing team. The primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software releases. The role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes, improve security measures, and support continuous integration and deployment initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify test systems and automation frameworks to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts and frameworks using tools such as Selenium, ensuring integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and implement automated testing programs targeting database impacts, software functionality, security, and usability.
- Coach and coordinate testing efforts for software defects, updates, and enhancements with development and application teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations to ensure testing alignment.
- Support various testing phases, including system testing, integration testing, verification & validation, and user acceptance testing.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards during testing processes.
- Evaluate, recommend, and assist in the implementation of testing tools, software packages, and automation solutions.
- Monitor bug resolution efforts, track testing progress, and maintain automation test suites across release cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in automated testing and software quality assurance.
- Interim Secret clearance required.
- 3+ years of experience working within Agile methodology and Kanban frameworks.
- Strong familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
- Extensive experience with functional, integration, system acceptance, and user acceptance testing phases.
- Proficiency in developing and executing repeatable automated test procedures, recording results, and troubleshooting issues with developers.
- Hands-on experience with open-source automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
- Knowledge of scripting languages including UNIX-based scripting and Python.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and associated tools, including build systems and SCM solutions like GitLab and Artifactory.
- Familiarity with load testing, cloud platforms such as AWS, and web technologies like HTML and XML.
- Java programming skills are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical teams.
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
