Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wired Network Engineer to join thier team on a contractual basis. This critical role will support major enterprise accounts, focusing on the delivery of Planning, Design, Implementation, and Optimization Services for large-scale wired and wireless infrastructures. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a Non-Store Network Refresh (NSNR) initiative, ensuring seamless upgrades and migrations. This position is a virtual role, allowing flexibility to work within East and Central time zone hours, with a minimum duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-grade wired networks, particularly focusing on Catalyst 9000 series and 3850/9300/9400 switches.
  • Provide architecture and migration planning for large-scale site refreshes involving numerous switches and wireless access points.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to develop scalable network designs that align with both business and technical requirements.
  • Deliver hands-on implementation and troubleshooting support during both weekday and weekend maintenance windows.
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of network services through proactive optimization and configuration tuning.
  • Support integration with the client’s DNA Center and Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) as applicable.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of enterprise routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, VLANs, EtherChannel).
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies and wireless LAN controllers (WLCs) as a secondary focus.
  • Experience with Prime Infrastructure, DNA Center, and CLI scripting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex migrations and troubleshooting issues across multi-site environments.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to influence client success and drive partnership outcomes.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate project schedules, including occasional travel as required.


Pay Range: $58.00 – $60.00 Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
