Role Summary
This senior-level position involves executing Identity and Access Management (IAM) compliance testing to support IT general controls (ITGCs) within an established audit framework. The role requires close collaboration with IT teams, system owners, and external auditors to ensure operational and compliance excellence. Candidates will utilize their technical audit expertise to assess control effectiveness, identify gaps, and support audit readiness initiatives across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the IAM MAP Lead in planning and executing IAM compliance testing activities, including walkthroughs and detailed control testing.
  • Conduct complex control walkthroughs with system owners to validate control design and documentation.
  • Review test plans, evidence, and workpapers to ensure compliance with internal audit standards.
  • Identify IT control deficiencies, recommend remediation strategies, and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Develop and deliver detailed data analysis reports using advanced Excel techniques, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Coordinate with IT and security teams to resolve control gaps and facilitate audit readiness.
  • Document clear, audit-ready narratives summarizing testing results and control assessments.
  • Manage multiple testing workstreams within tight deadlines, ensuring timely evidence collection and reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders across IT and audit functions to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant frameworks—including NIST, COBIT, and ITGC standards—to inform testing and control evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT audit or IT compliance, focusing on ITGC and NIST-aligned testing.
  • Proven experience supporting IAM control testing, including planning, walkthroughs, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IT compliance requirements, control concepts, and audit methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and complex calculations.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
     

Publishing Pay Range: $43.00 – $47.00 hourly

This is a hybrid role, combining in-office and remote work arrangements.
