Role Summary

The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting data center networking solutions to meet complex business technology requirements. This senior-level position requires extensive experience in data center infrastructure, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient network designs. The incumbent will serve as a technical expert, providing guidance throughout project lifecycles and troubleshooting high-severity incidents to ensure optimal network performance.

Responsibilities

  • Map business technology needs to comprehensive data center networking solutions based on established standards.
  • Develop detailed technical designs for data center constructs, ensuring they align with functional and operational requirements.
  • Supervise the implementation of network designs, verifying proper setup and functionality.
  • Act as a technical consultant during all project phases, troubleshooting issues and providing resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with line-of-business and IT staff to understand project scope, requirements, and constraints.
  • Engage in high-severity production incident response and problem ticket management, especially related to data network modifications.
  • Adjust network design parameters to balance business needs for cost efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Assist in training junior network engineers and support staff on data center networking practices.
  • Coordinate with program management and product teams to identify process improvements and update system documentation for accuracy.
  • Provide product feedback and contribute to the evolution of standard network solutions and catalogs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with enterprise or carrier-grade data center network infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with Arista Fabric, CloudVision, EOS, and migration projects from Cisco to Arista fabric environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of switching technologies, network architecture design, and high availability solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data center networking trends, including virtualization, TRILL/Fabric Path, blade technologies, GRID computing, low latency switching, and SDN.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical network solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving complex network issues under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of engaging technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and train team members.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 – $100.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
